World Cultural Diversity Day

YEAR 3

Year 3 learnt all about Kenya! They produced some art inspired by Kenyan artists, sang and played a traditional song, learnt facts about the country and performed a dance inspired by the Masai tribe.

YEAR 4

Year 4 celebrated Brazil for World Cultural Diversity Day. The children took part in a round robin of 4 activities where the children made carnival masks, played samba music, made cheese bread and chocolate truffles and learnt about the Brazilian cultural.

YEAR 5

On World Cultural Diversity Day, Year 5 enjoyed learning about India whilst completing a scavenger hunt in the forest. They tasted naan bread, poppadum’s and dips (some children even dared to try the lime pickle). The children created Rangoli patterns and developed dance routines to Indian music.

YEAR 6

Year 6 had a fun day learning about Japan. We did a ‘round robin’ of activities, which included origami, robotics, drawing Manga cartoons and comic book and the shadow theatre. The children had a super day learning about the Japanese culture - as did the adults!
