Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
At Herne Bay Juniors, children study Spanish, a language which is spoken by over 400 million people worldwide. It is the official language in 21 countries. As a phonetical language, it allows children of all abilities to succeed. It also provides children with an opening to understanding other cultures to develop a greater understanding of the World. Lessons are taught in a fun and interactive manner enabling children to develop an interest in languages. As a result of this, we aim to develop the skills and confidence needed for our children to become and to communicate effectively as world citizens.
During their time at Herne Bay Juniors, your child will have the opportunity to study Spanish in regular language lessons. Led by a Spanish specialist, your child will be taught how to pronounce and write Spanish correctly.
