Thank you to everyone who wore red today to support the Air Show that takes place later in the summer. I am pleased to say that we have raised an amazing £457. We hope that we will be able to sponsor a plane like we did last year.
Thank you to everyone attended the PTA Quiz Night on Saturday 23rd May.
13 teams competed over 8 rounds of questions and table sheets. A grand total of £530 was raised for the PTA funds. A big thank you must go to Nicky Upton and her husband who compiled the questions and ran the evening for us.
It was a fantastic evening and so well attended. We look forward to doing more of these evenings in the future.
On Tuesday 24th May, 12 very excited children and 3 enthusiastic adults; Mrs Evett-Collins, Miss Brady and Mr Kingman, left school to venture North towards Norfolk for an overnight stay in Sheringham Youth Hostel and a day at Hickling Broad Nature Reserve.
The minibus trip was incredibly interesting as Mr Kingman pointed out deer, bat bridges and lots of farming and agricultural land features in Suffolk and Norfolk. He knew the area extremely well.
On Monday night 15 children were taken by Mr Blake and Mrs Prichard to stay overnight on board HMS Belfast in London, via the school minibus and a trip on a Thames Clipper.
Once aboard the ship, the children took part in a number of practical events: designing their own ship's mug and flag and a private night time tour of the ship.
