The Breck Foundation

This week every child in the school received a talk from The Breck Foundation on internet safety. We were very lucky to have Lorin LaFave, the founder of the charity talking first-hand about how internet safety has impacted her family and what the children need to do to stay safe online. Her powerful message was perfectly delivered and certainly gave the children and staff a lot to think about.

Year 4 Wonders of the World Exhibition

Today, Year 4 had the opportunity to showcase their final projects for the topic 'Wonders of the World'. The children have taken the time to create some fantastic work demonstrating their learning of a selection of the Wonders of the World, whether that be the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt or the Great Wall of China.

Year 3 Life in the Freezer Exhibition

Year Three was buzzing with excitement on Thursday afternoon.  The Life in the Freezer topic was coming to an end with a celebratory exhibition of the children's projects they created at home!   Full to bursting, the classrooms were only just large enough to hold the wonderful work.  Standing next to towering penguins, displays of the sea world, geographical models and powerpoint projects on the classroom screen, the children proudly discussed their projects.

Year 5 Tudor Exhibition

This week, Year 5 had their exhibitions for the Tudor projects they had been working on. They invited parents/carers of the children to come and explore the cruel Tudor world that they had learnt all about.

Music Extravaganza at the King’s Hall

On Wednesday evening we held our annual Music Extravaganza at the King’s Hall.

This year’s title was ‘Santa on Tour’ and the story unfolded with music, drama and dance inspired from different countries of the world.

The King’s Hall was full to bursting with children and families all enjoying the performances of so many children including our Orchestra, Rock School, Jazz band, Samba band, Year 6 band and our amazing choir. Our Scottish Country Dancers, and individual dance performances brought another level to the event through their routines which involved some complicated moves and a lot of energy! Woven through, our Drama club children kept the audience entertained with their ‘Elf’ jokes – who knew there were so many?!
