At the Blue Flag Holiday Club the children have the opportunity to interact with children of all different ages, thereby strengthening their social confidence. We provide a child-led environment where the children can choose what they would like to do from the large variety of activities we offer. The children are supervised at all times by full qualified staff.
We encourage children to try something new but appreciate that not every activity suits every child. The children can enjoy group games indoors and out, arts and craft sessions, trips to the local park and cinema, Xbox and PlayStation time and so much more. We ask that every child brings a healthy, nut-free packed lunch and a refillable water bottle. We have plenty of breaks throughout the day where we provide squash, water, fruit and biscuits.
We look forward to seeing your children there!
Today HBJS's School Council participated in the Schools' Parliament held at Herne Bay High School.
The focus for the day was Healthy Young Minds. The children engaged in a range of activities; yoga, puzzle and word games and an e-safety game run by some Year 6 children. A discussion about whether we treat our minds well as our bodies was also raised, the children were able to understand that they should.
On Monday 25th June, the tennis club attended the Nature Valley International Tennis Tournament held at Eastbourne. With fantastic seats on centre court and the sun shinning, we started our day watching Andreas Seppi beat Denis Istomin in a three set match. World number two Caroline Wozniacki was next on court and she beat Camila Giorgi from Italy.
Our annual Summer Fair was another great success – the grand total raised was £3066! The quality of the children’s stalls was remarked upon by many of our families who enjoyed the happy and friendly atmosphere. Thank you all for your contributions and for supporting the fair today.
