Blue Flag Holiday Club

At the Blue Flag Holiday Club the children have the opportunity to interact with children of all different ages, thereby strengthening their social confidence. We provide a child-led environment where the children can choose what they would like to do from the large variety of activities we offer. The children are supervised at all times by full qualified staff.

We encourage children to try something new but appreciate that not every activity suits every child.  The children can enjoy group games indoors and out, arts and craft sessions, trips to the local park and cinema, Xbox and PlayStation time and so much more. We ask that every child brings a healthy, nut-free packed lunch and a refillable water bottle. We have plenty of breaks throughout the day where we provide squash, water, fruit and biscuits.

School Games Silver Mark Award

We are delighted to announce that Herne Bay Junior School have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
