A Fantastic Night at the Theatre
The Drama Club’s contribution to the production of Julius Caesar at The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury was a roaring success! The children had been working hard in rehearsals and this was evident in their confident performances on stage. On the actual day of the performance, the children had the opportunity to rehearse the technical aspects of the play with the live projection feed of the ghost of Caesar, props and using the steps that were part of the staging.
Later in the day, the children donned their costumes for the dress rehearsal. The design style was a modern day setting with mobile phones and suits rather than togas and sandals. Our guards were dressed in puffer jackets, beanies and sunglasses and servants wore waistcoats.
We were immensely proud of all of the members of our Drama Club and look forward to seeing this talent on stage again in the Year 6 production.
