Members of Year 5 had a fantastic time at Bushcraft in Hertfordshire this term. They learned a number skills including whittling hazel sticks, building shelters and building a fire in order to cook their lunch.
The weather was perfect with the soft September sunlight filtering through the leaves of the forest. It was a great opportunity for children and their teachers to get to know each other better while developing teams skills and resilience. We even had some very hardy individuals who camped out in the shelters they had made themselves over night!
