On Friday 11th October, a group of 14 children from years 3 to 6 enjoyed an overnight stay at London’s Science Museum where they learnt about all things space! The trip started as all trips should – with tea! From here, we dropped our overnight things off and started our evening activities. The children (and adults) were wowed with explosions, fire, rockets and fantastic explanations of the museum’s exhibits.
By the time bedtime finally came around at 11:30pm, the children were all ready to get some sleep. Spending a night in a museum was not as strange an experience as it might sound, and everyone enjoyed a good night’s sleep waking shortly before 6am! The morning included more activities before our homeward journey just before the museum opened to the public. Overall it was a fantastic, but tiring night!
