Able Writers Day
On the 28th November, eight children from across year 5 and 6 had the opportunity to work with children's poet, Brian Moses for an able writers day. They took part in activities that encouraged their minds to broaden and think beyond the obvious in order to create imaginative and thought provoking poetry.
The children explored rhyming insults in the style of Shakespeare and generated alien love poems before bringing their ideas together into moving memory poems, depicting experiences from long ago. The day was thoroughly enjoyed and all of the children will now be challenged to bring an idea back to their classrooms! Watch out for more poetry soon!
