A British Athletic Champion Visits the School
On Monday 11th June, Jeanette Kwayke, a British Athletic champion, visited Herne Bay Junior School. Jeanette started off the day by telling the children all about herself and her passion in running. She told the children how determination and perseverance resulted in her competing at the Beijing Olympics and how growth mind-set helped her when an injury stopped her from doing what she loved most.
Inspired by her story, each class then had the opportunity to work with Jeanette, competing in a range of fun activities.
Jeanette commented on the positivity and politeness of our school and along with the children, had a great day.
Well done HBJS!
